Dweck Data has one of the largest data bases in the
world composed of :

Aromatic Plant Journal (we are the only client who receives this
electronically)

consists of 650 volumes of books on medicinal plants, ethnobotanic /
ethnopharmaceutical use of plants etc etc.
We work with clients to work from the brief to suggest
materials that will fulfill the dream. We can supply not only folklore, history
and all the background data, but then can supply the supplier brochures that
will have the modern technical proof of effect. We normally suggest a whole
raft of different materials to offer choice and allow the marketer to feel that
they are in charge of the final product mix. All of this information is
produced on a CD ROM with all the brochures hyperlinked to a spreadsheet.
Having written the brief, we will also help with the
perfume brief and work with the perfumer to ensure that the final fragrance is
exactly right for the guidelines we have determined for the project.
The formulator is then briefed and we supply them with
all the data they require on another CD – all they have to do is order any new
raw materials (to them) and put together the prototypes.
We advise on any formulation problems and help to
ensure that the final product meets the specification.
The pack copy is drafted by the client and then Dweck
Data ensure that it does not infringe or break many of the laws that surround
cosmetic and toiletry products. We ensure that the ingredient labels are right,
the PAO is in place, weights and E marks are correct and that any cautions and
legal requirements are in place on the packaging.
The law requires a PIP (Product Information pack) be
in place and part of that package requires a safety assessment which we will
produce as a certificate of conformance.
